The National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) is one of Ghana's most popular educational television programs. The questions are complex, fast, and require deep scientific reasoning.
Brilla AI was built by the NSMQ AI Grand Challenge team to compete as an artificial intelligence contestant.
Real-Time Audio Transcription
The AI must listen to the quizmaster, transcribe the spoken question, identify the subject area (math, physics, chemistry), and search its knowledge base for the correct scientific proof.
This must happen in under two seconds to compete with student reaction times.
Ghanaian Accent Synthesis
Once the correct answer is formulated, Brilla AI reads it aloud using a natural Ghanaian accent, demonstrating the potential of localized voice synthesis in educational media.
